We drove to Pembroke to look at a room in a house with college students. The owner only got into being a landlord because he had so much trouble finding a place for his son to live while going to Algonquin College in Pembroke. I was impressed by the guy. He is either one of the world’s best con artists or he is very sincere.
My step daughter was also impressed (she’s been having a heckuva time trying to find a room up there, as soon as a room is posted at the college web site, it’s gone.) She did have a couple of qualms, but they seemed to be tenda gonfiabile answered well. And in the photo to the left, she is signing the contract with her mum happily beaming over her daughter growing up in the background.

Cuzzin Joe’s Birthday (Lori’s Husband)
Finished editing the monday night meeting, went into momentary panic thinking the boy, who is seeing his behavour coach after school on wednesdays, would have a melt down over needing to get into the house and get some money for something he gets into his head that he can’t live without. (and he will disrupt anything to let you know he is not going to be happy or let you live in peace if he doesn’t get it.) (he doesn’t neccessarily get his way this way with me, but Cathi will tell me I’m just being mean and give in to him. (One person’s “Tough love” is another person’s”That’s just being mean.”) Oh- I was in the studio when boy might have needed to break into house and get some gonfiabili money for whatever. They didn’t come banging on studio door. I guess things went okay.
Then we picked the boy up at the lake (his coach’s place) and had a nice talk with her new guy. (he’s a really nice guy. Cathi, boy, coach and coach’s spouse are all life path “7”s. hmmmmm-
I don’t know, I just might survive this week. And just when I think it’s almost more than I can take, Cathi complains that I don’t have to get up at 5 and drive into Ottawa and put up with contracting for 9 hours and then drive home for another hour and have to face our part time job for another hour and…. oh never mind.

Monday, April 27, 2009. ((Uncle Tom’s Birthday))
I forgot what the weather was.
It’s almost a week later.
I could probably use the excuse that I have been worn out since the telethon on Sunday the 26th.
This photo is the Knights of Columbus Hall at Saint John Chrystostom (could be spelled wrong) here in Arnprior. We were just beginning to set up the cameras
I’m thinkin the tallest tripod on the left is the Jib- the camera that can get shots from ‘way up high’ near the ceiling. I don’t think I got any toboggan aquatique gonflable really good photos of anybody using he jib in action. We were too busy during the telethon.

+17˚C/+63˚F in the afternoon.
Let me think- We had an unusual day.
The boy had a doctor’s appointment early and then went to school.
I got paid by my second (in fact of time, first) job and had to cash cheque (in Canada we have cheques, in the U.S. they’re checks) in order to get boy and Mom out of drug store with prescription.
Cathi and I had brunch in an unusual (for us) spot after she got the boy to the school.
When we got home we found two notices that ups had tried to deliver something we’ve been looking for. the first notice said they might try today between 10 and 2 andbetween 2 and 5 pm.
So Cathi got the boy from School. Then took boy to Dad’s and traded him for young woman while I sat here and vegged out in the hopes that UPS might actually make another attempt to deliver. Nope.
But when Cathi and young woman got here we needed a Dairy Queen run and sat almost where the above photo was shot from and watched the gonfiabile percorso ad ostacoli river and the weir and the world do their magic while we chomped on ice cream and stuff like that there.
Yummmmm-
I still think the ‘financial crisis’ is a propaganda campaign, and I still believe the (conservative) Canadian *Government is trying to take advantage of public confusion to try to push through some very schnarr reforms that are on their very schnarr agendae and are not at all in the public interest. {{ (In Canada, “*Government” often refers to the current batch of (fairly recently elected) Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister and the appointed ‘Ministers’ (Senators are still ((as far as we know)) appointed for life up here.) as opposed to the form of government (fer example ‘representative democracy’/’republic’/whathaveyou-) ) }} But then again-
-grumble grumble grumble,

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 (Income Tax Deadline in the US.)
I think it got up to about 14˚C/58˚F in Arnprior.
Yeesh. The boy has decided he should get up at 6:30 or even earlier in the morning, wash up and do long term homework projects before going to school. He was angry at me for not knowing that and for not waking him up at six o five this morning when his alarm clock failed (do to operator error?) I want to tell him that if he wants to get up at something other than what has been his normal time, well, that’s his parco acquatico gonfiabile responsibility and he can’t expect me or his mother to wake him up under those conditions.
Schnarr-

Friday, Good Friday, April 10, 2009. Charles (Neé ‘Harley’)’s birfday, also “Squirt” ((Porky’s sister) near Ithaca)’s birfday.
+2˚C/+36˚F @ 12:27 pm in Arnprior.
Rob and Vicki were here, we talked about interviews and web sites and stuff, thought we missed a lot of golden opportunities for recording good stuff for the web site, but I thought, hey, call this rehearsal time, not missed opportunities.
We did get our ventures a new web site, www.indigostarcrystalradio.info – yum! it’s supposed to have unlimited data aufblasbare rutsche transfer which I think means unlimited bandwidth, I guess we’ll find out.

Thursday, April 9, 2009. Irene Adzima’s Birthday.
0˚C/32˚F @ 8 am in Arnprior.
Exhausted- I’m stumbling around in a daze.
What I’m dealing with is- What Should I concentrate on right now? Should I go with setting up an internet radio station first or try to work on developing a role playing game that may or may not bring in an income that may start out as a trickle and gain momentum? Both tracks are aimed at aiding the Spiritual Evolution of the Human Race.
We took the boy to his father’s for the insuflaveis Holiday Weekend, got stuck in traffic and went to Rob’s surprise birthday party on the way home.
-RE: Plans for the future- Rob’s daughter in England and a Movie producer in Lost Angeles have both commented on the interview Rob and I recorded and which is available at : (and both comments were positive).
-RE: Canadian Politics. I’m hearing loads of people exclaiming, “What a [fupping] idiot-!” when the latest news about the prime minister’s comments on just about anything airs on the radio.
-RE: Communicating with friends… I sent a dvd and short letter to my friends in Vermont (finally). Now I only have a couple dozen more to catch up with…
I should probably quit while I’m ahead, or at least: while I’m still suffering with the delusion that I’m ahead.
Photo: There are a lot of black squirrels up here. This one is pretty near the beach that is part of Robert Simpson Park. (I do not believe that Robert is related to Bart…) 😉

Sunday, April 5, 2009. Erin’s Friend Lindsay’s B’day.
+8˚C/+46˚F @ 6:30 pm in Arnprior.
I could have slept all day…. Well, I tried.
I had to go check on the studio to see if there was a new church service to play tonight.
There wasn’t. But I took some neat 5 p.m.-ish springtime photos around town. Some of these will be playing soon behind the Bulletin board on the local access channel here in town. I really need to find out if Pakenham gets our feed or Jeremy’s. I could be taking neat photos of the five span bridge with tons of spring water flowing underneaf it. Yum.
Looking forward to getting some of Cathi’s birthday cake. She seemed insistant on waiting until the boy was back home. Imwanted to eat the insuflaveis whole dang thing before he saw it, schnarr (joke joke)
oh well. It’s beginning to look a lot like springtime-
Maybe we’ll see if we can move some stuff around in the driveway when they get back from picking up the boy.
sigh,

Saturday, April 4, 2009, Jeeeze. I think Dawn turned 30 today. eeep. a young woman I had a big crush on in junior high school turned 60. o my goodness… not possible– nope.
+2˚C/+36˚F & raining at 8:00 pm.
(This photo is a closeup of another one of the video cameras suspended from the cieling in the same room where the previous photo was taken. The photo below is a map with projected fallout patterns determined by prevailing winds. It looked like my section of Connecticut might have been almost okay- if New York City was nuked- unless the winds were wrong… eeep?)
I wanted to call Dawn & wish her an Appah Hoopie today. –Day’s not quite over yet… but
We slept late. I woke up hurting with muscle pain in my right elbow, sat with a heat pack for an hour or so, felt a little better, then helped Cathi by carrying laundry parque insuflaveis down two flights of stairs and brought the pain right back, Schnarr-

We went and looked at an open house in Fitzroy Harbour- sort of the next town east of here? Part of ‘Greater Ottawa’. Nice house. Pretty nice Real Estate Agent, too. She called a little while after we got home to say that somebody had put in an offer on that house, and wanted to know if we wanted to put in a bid ourselves- and When Cathi said we probably couldn’t outbid anybody, she (the real estate agent) asked what we were looking for, Cathi said, ‘a house with character and a little bit of land’. ‘Oh,’ said the real estate agent, “I’m going to look at one of those right now- wanna ome along?” and we couldn’t, but she’ll send us a link to the M.L.S. listing. (Cool 🙂 )
Après le Open House we went into Kanata and got Cathi a birthday present or two.
And when we got home, I felt lousy, and bombed out at trying to figure out how to transfer photos from may cell phone to the computer here, but with a lot of patience and help from Cathi, we got it done, I think. The photos are living proof- if they’re still there. 🙂
Sigh. I tried to further organize my corner of the living room downstairs, met with frustration, might have actually gotten something done….
And here it is, 9:47 pm.
I should very carefully eat something and see what kind of shape my stomach is in… Schnarr….

Friday, April 3, 2009. Cathi’s Birthday. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Monsoon Rains were forecast. It was rainy.
We had “lucked out”, Cathi heard about a free screening of the movie “Passchendaele” at the “Deifenbunker”. She called and got the last two tickets.
After the movie we took a quick tour. The man in the photo with his left hand raised was out tour guide.
The “Deifenbunker” was a cold war era bunker built to keep the Canadian Government alive and functioning in the event of a nuclear attack on Ottawa.
I forget exactly which room this is, but it was a nerve centre for communications and keeping track of what was happening where. You can see bouncy castle for sale one of the video cameras mounted on the cieling in the upper left of the photo.
The movie was quite good. It’s up for an award, called the “Genies” which I think were awarded tonight (it’s the 4th, I’m a day late & a couple dollars short… as usual)
But anyway. Happy Birthday Cathi! yayyyyyy!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
