Life guard seat, April 6, 20009Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Aunt Claudia’s Birthday (& Janis Ian’s, too)

-5˚C/+22˚F @ 8:30 am in Arnprior.

Let me publish, then edit this, see how it turns out.

(( It worked, it’s actually a bit past midnight. I was exhausted earlier and connked out big time- So it’s 12:42 am right now, (I ate something and used the washroom and stuff like that. I’m off to work- ))

The photo was taken monday down at the beach, one of two in town. you may be able to recognize the Life Guard’s seat along the left border. I chose this photo because I think you see the whipping snow against the insuflaveis brown trees. This is Cathi’s Birthday snowstorm. “It always snows around my birthday!” (April 3rd…) (weather people expected it to change to rain, nope. we only got 3 centimeters of snow in March and may out do that in the first week of April.)

Monday, & I’m having Hard Drive Problems.

Posted by Jim - April 6th, 2009

Arnprior Spring Time, I think this is the MuseumYup-

Monday, April 6, 2009. Frank Whatsisname, Donna Whatsername, Pat Somethingorother Kanter, and Dangerous Dick Chaffee’s Birthday. (all Post Office People)

0˚C/+33˚F @ 2:34:56 a.m. in Arnprior.

Photo is the Arnprior & District Museum (née Post Office & Customs House) The building was one of many designed by Thomas Fuller, who also designed the first Parliament Buildings. The building is also Arnprior’s Trademark, more or less, and is on many postcards and almost anything that advertises Arnprior.

Sigh, Yup, and I have been dealing with a hard drive which is in the throws of a near death experience here. Eep. It’s the drive that has been the most parque insuflaveis reliable for nearly five years now… oh no- and has all kinds of information that can’t be replaced, including an interview with Author Geneve Bleu-oh no—– the hard drive went to sleep and won’t wake up.

So, I’ve sent out a plea for help to Michael the Archangel, who is supposed to be good at things like this. “Help!”

Sunday! Spring is in the air-

Springtime In Arnprior #25Sunday, April 5, 2009. Erin’s Friend Lindsay’s B’day.

+8˚C/+46˚F @ 6:30 pm in Arnprior.

I could have slept all day…. Well, I tried.

I had to go check on the studio to see if there was a new church service to play tonight.

There wasn’t. But I took some neat 5 p.m.-ish springtime photos around town. Some of these will be playing soon behind the Bulletin board on the local access channel here in town. I really need to find out if Pakenham gets our feed or Jeremy’s. I could be taking neat photos of the five span bridge with tons of spring water flowing underneaf it. Yum.

Looking forward to getting some of Cathi’s birthday cake. She seemed insistant on waiting until the boy was back home. Imwanted to eat the insuflaveis whole dang thing before he saw it, schnarr (joke joke)

oh well. It’s beginning to look a lot like springtime-

Maybe we’ll see if we can move some stuff around in the driveway when they get back from picking up the boy.

sigh,

Saturday, April 4th, 2009. (Dawn’s Birthday! yay!!!! :) )

Posted by Jim - April 4th, 2009

Saturday, April 4, 2009, Jeeeze. I think Dawn turned 30 today. eeep. a young woman I had a big crush on in junior high school turned 60. o my goodness… not possible– nope.Video Camera at the Deifenbunker.

+2˚C/+36˚F & raining at 8:00 pm.

(This photo is a closeup of another one of the video cameras suspended from the cieling in the same room where the previous photo was taken. The photo below is a map with projected fallout patterns determined by prevailing winds. It looked like my section of Connecticut might have been almost okay- if New York City was nuked- unless the winds were wrong… eeep?)

I wanted to call Dawn & wish her an Appah Hoopie today. –Day’s not quite over yet… but

We slept late. I woke up hurting with muscle pain in my right elbow, sat with a heat pack for an hour or so, felt a little better, then helped Cathi by carrying laundry parque insuflaveis down two flights of stairs and brought the pain right back, Schnarr-

Fallout Patterns projected by prevailing winds.

We went and looked at an open house in Fitzroy Harbour- sort of the next town east of here? Part of ‘Greater Ottawa’. Nice house. Pretty nice Real Estate Agent, too. She called a little while after we got home to say that somebody had put in an offer on that house, and wanted to know if we wanted to put in a bid ourselves- and When Cathi said we probably couldn’t outbid anybody, she (the real estate agent) asked what we were looking for, Cathi said, ‘a house with character and a little bit of land’. ‘Oh,’ said the real estate agent, “I’m going to look at one of those right now- wanna ome along?” and we couldn’t, but she’ll send us a link to the M.L.S. listing. (Cool 🙂 )

Après le Open House we went into Kanata and got Cathi a birthday present or two.

And when we got home, I felt lousy, and bombed out at trying to figure out how to transfer photos from may cell phone to the computer here, but with a lot of patience and help from Cathi, we got it done, I think. The photos are living proof- if they’re still there. 🙂

Sigh. I tried to further organize my corner of the living room downstairs, met with frustration, might have actually gotten something done….

And here it is, 9:47 pm.

I should very carefully eat something and see what kind of shape my stomach is in… Schnarr….

Friday, Cathi’s Birthday, April 3, 2009 :)

Posted by Jim - April 4th, 2009

Tour Guide at the Friday, April 3, 2009. Cathi’s Birthday. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Monsoon Rains were forecast. It was rainy.

We had “lucked out”, Cathi heard about a free screening of the movie “Passchendaele” at the “Deifenbunker”. She called and got the last two tickets.

After the movie we took a quick tour. The man in the photo with his left hand raised was out tour guide.

The “Deifenbunker” was a cold war era bunker built to keep the Canadian Government alive and functioning in the event of a nuclear attack on Ottawa.

I forget exactly which room this is, but it was a nerve centre for communications and keeping track of what was happening where. You can see bouncy castle for sale one of the video cameras mounted on the cieling in the upper left of the photo.

The movie was quite good. It’s up for an award, called the “Genies” which I think were awarded tonight (it’s the 4th, I’m a day late & a couple dollars short… as usual)

But anyway. Happy Birthday Cathi! yayyyyyy!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After January StormThursday, April 2, 2009. Sir Alec Guiness’ Birfday (and Kristen J’s in CT?)

0˚C/32˚F and over bright sunlight @ 7:30 am.

No- that isn’t a photo taken this morning or yesterday… It’s from January.

Coast to Coast AM had a Robot radio host answering questions for a while last night? I was wondering  whether it was an April Fool’s joke – maybe somebody talking into a voice changing thingy- Then George interviewed Joe Arguelles who began the current 2012 awareness stuff.

-Supposed to get up to 13˚C/56˚F this afternoon.

Yawn. I better go wake up inflatable water slide the boy, it’s getting late.

+6˚C/+43˚F & raining lightly @ 4:44:44 pm  (eeeep?)

Trying to stay awake until Cathi gets home, I have some bouncy castle for sale more studio work to finish.

Wednesday???

Posted by Jim - April 1st, 2009

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009. (Happy New Year!) ((Marion & Val’s Birfday… & a couple other friends’ birthday too. Mike something…))

+1˚c/+34˚F & drizzling @ 8:01 am.

12 hours at one job, 3 at the other yesterday… (covered ameeting about staggered school bells) & I gotta do stuff at the studio today. Schnarr-

I couldn’t pay much attention to what they were saying, but the intent felt like… Shills for the schoolboard say, “We don’t give a flyin fupp what you think, we’re smarter than you- we’ve decided what is best for you and we’re going to inflatable water slide implement it- so what if it fupps you up and makes you pay another hundred bux a week for child care (their plan only works if you, the victim, have only one child) their plan will save them money- maybe… (until the bus company catches on and raises their rates because they’ve been short changed by this stupid plan of the school board’s?)

It looks like another snow job, another fait accomplis rammed down our throats by people whose main point in life is to convince themselves that they’re smarter than anybody they serve and they should explain that to us any chance they get. if we balk, well, we’re stupid and uneducated and we’ve been misled… Schnarrrrrr-

Oops, there went Monday-

Rain on the Weir, SundayMonday… ooops. Tuesday, March 31, 2009

+1˚C/+34˚F @ 4:07 am

Yup, monday got by us. As far as blogging goes.

I did a bunch of running around Arnprior, Checking for things I could use to try to organize the gunk I need into bookcases or something like that. I scored a couple pieces of cheap furniture that might be useful in the garage when we do something there.

Also- talked to a couple people about the showing of the movie about Walmart’s attitudes and casualties of those attitudes. I felt drained and collapsed, then did have enough energy to go to the showing, with the bouncy castle for sale camera and helped get B roll for Jeremy’s news story. Also, Jeremy wants me to send him heads ups as soon as I know about anything newsworthy in Arnprior.

Sigh.

I’m exhausted.

Rainy Sunday

Posted by Jim - March 29th, 2009

Rain on the windshieldSunday, March 29, 2009.

+6˚C/+43˚F & raining @ 6:51 pm in Arnprior.

I was all psyched for a morning at the flea market. But then it was pouring rain. (schnarrrrr) but the Yurt couple were there and I ended up talking to them for an hour and a half.

This photo was taken around 5 pm. When blown up (or pre-shrunk down?) it is nicely warped by rain water running down the windshield.

Melanie is singing “We’re not in Kansas, no more-” 🙂

Work stuff was better than inflatable water slide anticipated. The cleaner had been there and the church service was waiting in the in box.

((We had ice cream {step daughter, step son and me} before I went to to work.))

Learning new stuff on the iMac -/- began a database for tracking work projects for Indigo S.C.

And it’s my moon day (moon was at this degree of aries when I was born).

—Pas de Schnarr?
