Monday, 02 May, 2005. 011394 @ AerOrg @ 6:20 AM.

+2°C / +36°F @ 5:49 AM. Cloudy? Last unstable day of a streak? shrug.

Got disoriented last night, doing a little bit of computer stuff before I flipped the laundry. Thought the kitchen should be the parking lot. shrug.

I think I just saw a bunch of people sedately walking around a small lighthouse on last night's newscast. shrug.

Sigh. Dentist today. (this morning at 9 am) (gotta take my antibiotics at 8.)

brrrr. shiver shiver freeze freeze.

reading DreamCat's blog last night. the more I read, the more I like her. sigh. hearts beaming outta my head... and heart.

Sunday, Mostly beautiful, but....

by talerocker on May 1, 2005 11:55PM (EDT)

Sunday, 01 May, 2005. 011392 @ AerOrg. Rosalie's B'day, & Sharon Woods- whatever (Dr. Sharon whatever...)

6°C / 43°F @ 11 PM.

Planted trees today with cub scouts. :) It was pouring rain in Arnprior when we left here for the boat landing where we planted close to 1,010 white pines. Some kids had gone and planted a bunch of trees in an area where we weren't allowed, so we had a hand full of trees to bring home. and we know where to put them

Yesterday we saw the Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy. Yum....

got a bunch of bags of black dirt and some pansys and a couple clay pots for plants and then got some groceries...

On the way home from shopping after coming home, changing shoes and going back out (leaving the mud in the kitchen) I felt severely blehhhhh, conked out on the couch and pretty much stayed there until almost 11 pm. (

sigh, dentist stuff tomorrow.

Saturday, Head-neck- & back aches

by talerocker on April 30, 2005 01:16PM (EDT)

Welcome back to the symptom of the day blog.... Frown

Saturday, 30 April, 2005. 011388 @ AerOrg.

+7°C / +45°F @ 1:08 pm in Arnprior. Grey and damp but not raining.

Running dream. (3rd dream in a week or so with Neil Young in it?) Neil Young is coming to somebody's private birthday. between 50 and 150 people expected. I posted the date and times on an internet site to remind the very limited number of people who knew about the site. The media found out. the media found out almost as soon as I posted it and knew I'd updated it since their first announcement.

They showed the site on their television news cast, showed the before and after times to prove it was happening "almost as we speak". And more than once they said, on the air, "Thank you Jim-" I'm wondering if somebody named Jim had told them about this.

oh well...

He may be batty, but he doesn't usually have a bat following him around. Yes, he does have lower teeth sticking up... He looks a little more reptilian, (Says he's wearing the hat to look like a real journalist.. more likely to hide the point at the top of his head. His kid has purple-blue hair, he sometimes wears a wig 'so the kid doesn't feel out of place') Editor, Aradathian Journa-Review.... which should show up at your local newstands as soon as he gets off his tail and starts barking orders at his reporters... Oh, his tail isn't that long... And he says this likeness doesn't capture the real him.... (heaven help us if anybody ever does... capture the real him....)

Thursday, Blah-

by talerocker on April 28, 2005 01:41PM (EDT)

Thursday, 28 April, 2005. 011372 @ AerOrg. Cody's Birthday.

+6°C / 42°F @ 5 something AM. Clear? (it looked spooky around 7:15. Very dark sky and sun shining, almost over bright, on the pavement in the parking lot.) DreamCat called to tell me it had rained and hailed in Ottawa. It hadn't done anything here at that time. It has since begun raining.

Yesterday. Expected tons of rain. nope. it cleared up. We had our 'Deer Sheds' hike. Boy was happy with his smallish antlers. We made sure we got some for a friend who was sick.

I'm thinking I want to re arrange the computers again, here. (the other night something unearthly walked just about right through me and into the computer monitor at my left shoulder. After that I had nightmares.) (shrug) (but that's not the biggest, or strongest, inspiration for wanting to move things around again.)

okay. health stuff:

Monday I was completely burned out, couldn't wake myself up to save my life. or anybody elses.

Tuesday I started out hurting, lungs on fire. hot burning pain in the middle of my back. I think I realized these pains were symptoms of trying to breath when walking through the 'family room' in the basement. I felt better later in the day. Still achy, but not quite so pained.

Wednesday. Aches and pains, and I was dreading the hike, thinking that if we went hiking in the rain I would bow out and sit in the van at the edge of the trail or something. But the weather was pretty nice. Surprised me. Surprised Cathi too, she said it was raining when she got on the bus in Ottawa and it was like bone dry here. weird. I survived the hike. Then I conked out on the couch and woke up at like 3:45 AM, realized I hadn't taken my medicine and hadn't taken my vitamines or anything.... oh no....

Thursday. Today. garbage day. I survived going down into the basement to collect stuff from the kitty litter. But my lungs were on fire again. Then I avoided the basement and the kitchen (where the smell from the kitty litter kind of indicates that the air in the kitchen drifts up from the basement....ick.) (eeep?) Cathi called to ask about the weather here, said she'd seen hail in the city. nope, no problem here. I went out and got a few things, came back and it was raining fairly hard. Now it looks like it's raining and the sun is trying to poke its head out at the same time. A trip down to flip laundry was not pleasant, I think it takes about twenty minutes to half an hour for the pain to go away, and now I've got like a residual head ache.

Oh, moving things around might give me a different point of view, he said, crossing his fingers. I'm sick of this "symptoms of the day" stuff. Sigh.

And I will be picking up Pam and Matt at the high school first tonight and then going for Boy and Snarina. (we have projects to bring home, I guess.)

Shrug.

more later, I hope.

Wednesday, Raining.

by talerocker on April 27, 2005 06:23AM (EDT)

Wednesday, 27 April, 2005. 011367 @ AerOrg. Uncle Tom's B'day.

+9°C / +48°F @ 5:45 AM. Last night they said "30 mm of rain" for today. eep.

mood: tired, but hopeful?

music: Not really.

health: itchy arms. itchy places. (ear, corner of forehead... odd places) dull hint of headache. that's better than it has been.

Oh- after he'd known about it for 3 weeks, Boy told us yesterday that his major project (build a model of a pioner house) was due today. This is after a lot of "No homework tonight" statements and pleas to go on the computer etc. (then when I was helping him with his pioneer house he disappeared a couple times, for very odd 'reasons', so I stopped doing his work for him and let him do it. (he had to stop building and go find material to cut into a blanket to put on a 'bed'. I have no idea what he did earlier, just left me doing his project and didn't look like he was going to come back.

Did some wash yesterday. soaked stuff twice in various things.... hydrogen peroxide solution, baking soda. trying to get mold and mildew out of stuff. having mixed results. Cathi was more optimistic than I was on that score.

Museum Post Office exhibit had grand opening yesterday. Boy got antsy. wanted to touch everything. yelled, "I'm not a five year old!" when I told him to stop doing that. (but he was acting like a five year old... maybe younger...) He also wanted to eat the stuff that the Algonquin people were putting out for the after the opening party.

Tonight we're supposed to hike on the mcnamara trail and search for deer sheds. I need to send email and maybe call around to see if that's still on if we're under water. That trail is scary with lots of mud.

duh....

talk to ya later,

Tuesday, Grey, Damp And Cool

by talerocker on April 26, 2005 08:53AM (EDT)

Tuesday, 26 April, 2005. 011359 @ AerOrg. Sue H's B'day. 4°C / 38°F @ 5:45 am. damp, wet, grey out there. supposed to reach 15°C today? Boy, who has been telling us he didn't have any homework, 'forgot' about his project to make a pioneer cabin for school. I think this means he's barred from the computer for a while. Gasp gasp ache ache. I have been feeling pain in my lungs (skipped using the inhaler for a while, but over the weekend, the encounter with mold and mildew has made it necessary... nasty headaches (feels like getting hit in the head with a two by four?) and pain in the lungs... isn't fun. We switched from claritin to reactin. DreamCat and I have renewed our vow to rip up the carpets in the basement and do other things to discourage mold and mildew from hanging around. Yesterday we washed some stuff twice, soaking it once in one solution and the second time in another to try to get all the mold and mildew out of it. We have also been trying to deal with the kitty litter smell. It smelled like the cats peed all over everything while we were gone. no visible evidence, it just smelled that way. Maybe because we were both hypersensitive? shrug. Museum stuff today, and did I tell you I missed a meeting of the museum board last week when I was out cold after getting teeth pulled? eep. I better go, oh yeah, sent Aunt Reg an invitation to join the xtended fambly list. and put a poll up there. .....T-R

Cats Sleeping in their window

Cats Hugging on the window seat. (( Moe (Orange) & Domino. ))

by talerocker at 08:06AM (EDT) on April 20, 2005

Domino (the long suffering worry wart of a Bengal) and Moe (the insufferable trouble maker) cuddle in the window to cat nap through most days. It's a nice warm window seat most of the time. The windows face a church parking lot to the south west of the house. Trouble making loose cats ramble through the parking lot at odd hours to drive our cats crazy.

Friday, Damp and green, light peeking through the clouds

by talerocker on April 29, 2005 06:32AM (EDT)

Friday, 29 April, 2005. 011380 @ AerOrg. Gotta be somebody's birfday.... italic tags don't seem to be working.

+5°C / +41°F @ 5:45 AM. Damp and grey out there. But a little bit of sun was trying to peek through the clouds and blind me. I don't think it succeeded.

I did rearrange the computer corner here yesterday. Cathi took one look at the house when she got here and said, I guess a nap is out, huh? there's nowhere to lie down (I was finishing up the move and there was lotsa stuff on the couch.) Then she said something along the lines of, "So you didn't get any laundry done at all?" and I pointed at the mess on the love seat, "Two complete loads and I also had to dry stuff that was in the washing machine when I went down there. ((( And it causes intense lung pain for me to go down there.... snarrrr snarrr snarrr....)))

Music: Running with the Devil started playing as I backed her car out of the garage.

Cartoon in my head: half awake driver pilots recycling truck around and then wakes right up in shock when he pulls into one street and sees several husbands and wives sitting in recycling bins, looking bored. Maybe there should be a street sign like "Video Lane" or something.

trip to ottawa tonight after boy gets home from school? Yesterday we brought home his pioneer project and he read me lots from his work sheet in preparation for a test today (I think the big test is today....)

the cats were extremely curious about me rearranging the furniture here last night. Moe got antsy and didn't quite tear anything apart, but that was not from lack of trying... both of them tried to squeeze into the narrow corridor under the desk's drawer side between the leg and the wall. I wasn't sure Moe was going to make it back out the first time (they think they're still kitten sized.... says DreamCat.)

I gotta go take last night's vitamins... second night in a row.

Turned on coast to coast am and fell asleep before I heard anything.

Yesterday's Dream: boy scout hike. I had a camera with me and I knew Neil Young was with us, I wondered how I was going to ask if he'd mind if I tried to get a candid shot of him and his boy hiking with the rest of the gang, blending in...

shrugggggggggg,

Oh- added several computer drawings as 'Photos' yesterday before I went nuts and moved everything around.

half awake in Arnprior....
